Privacy Policy

We collect two categories of information: information you provide directly and information collected automatically.

Information you provide: When you subscribe to our newsletter, write to us, or suggest a product, we collect your name, email address, and whatever message content you choose to share.

Information collected automatically: When you visit the Site, our analytics provider records your IP address (truncated for privacy), browser type, device type, referring URL, pages viewed, and time spent on each page. We use this data in aggregate to understand how readers interact with our content.

We use the information we collect to: (a) deliver, maintain, and improve the Site; (b) respond to your comments, questions, and customer service requests; (c) send you our newsletter if you have subscribed (you may unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email); (d) monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with the Site; and (e) detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal activities.

We never sell your personal information to third parties. We never rent or lease your contact details to advertisers.

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, and measure traffic. We categorize them as strictly necessary (required for the Site to function), analytics (used to understand how readers use the Site), and advertising (used by our affiliate partners to attribute referrals, and by Pinterest to measure our ads).

We engage trusted third-party service providers to operate the Site. Our analytics provider reports aggregate traffic and sets no cookies. If you accept advertising cookies, Pinterest sets a cookie so we can measure how our Pinterest ads perform. Amazon Associates, and the brands we link to directly, may set a cookie when you click a product link.

Newsletter addresses are stored in our own database. We do not currently use an email delivery provider, which means we are not sending a newsletter yet. If we add one, we will name it here before the first email goes out.

These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and are contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to us.

When you click a product link on JellyReviews and make a purchase on the merchant site, the merchant or affiliate network typically sets a cookie on your browser to attribute the sale to us. These cookies usually expire within 24 hours to 90 days, depending on the merchant.

We do not receive your name, payment details, or full purchase history from the merchant. We typically receive only the product name, sale amount, commission earned, and a timestamp. This data is used solely for revenue accounting.

We retain newsletter subscriber data until you ask us to remove it. We retain contact form submissions for up to 24 months for customer service continuity. Aggregate analytics data is retained indefinitely; raw, identifiable log entries are truncated and aggregated within 30 days of collection.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate information; request deletion of your personal information; object to or restrict our processing of your information; and receive a copy of your information in a portable format.

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

If you access the Site from outside the country where our servers are located, your information may be transferred to and processed in our servers' country. By using the Site, you consent to this transfer.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide a more prominent notice (such as a banner on the Site or an email to subscribers).
